The Russian melodramatic Series "A Year in Tuscany" tells the story of the shattered dream of Rita, a talented architect. The woman had become a top-class specialist and was preparing to marry the man she loved, but the day before the wedding, she experienced a tragedy. Her fiancé Ilya died in a car accident, while she herself was pulling actor Mike out from under the wheels of a minibus. Unable to cope with her grief within the walls of her home, Rita decides to move to Tuscany, Italy, where she had designed a luxurious villa. The housekeeper Yulia and her husband become Rita’s new family. From Yulia, who is fond of fortune-telling, Rita learns that Ilya’s death was probably far from accidental. Yulia also reports a possible deliberate crime against Ilya. The news shocks Rita, making her reflect on her actions. Meanwhile, Rita has no time to indulge in memories. She recalls that the reconstruction project included repairs to the basement premises, but when Rita tries to go down there, she realizes that doing so is not easy. Apparently, the basement holds some secret of its owners.
