After his ex-wife dies in a plane crash, investigator Yegor Sinitsyn tries to cope with his loss and rebuild his relationship with his daughter, who now lives with him. To distract himself from the pain, he takes on what seems like a simple case—the suicide of a young man. However, it gradually becomes clear that the deceased was supposed to be on the very flight that claimed Yegor’s wife. The investigation becomes a personal mission for the detective, and Sinitsyn finds himself drawn ever deeper into a web of events concealing a dangerous truth.
