Polina Shestopalova left her job with the investigative authorities after ending an unsuccessful office romance, but she never gave up the work she loved. Together with her reliable assistant and born hacker Masha, she opened a small detective agency. While Masha works in the «rear», gathering information, fearless Polina heads out on field missions. Over the years, she has investigated many shocking crimes, but an almost hopeless new assignment confounds even her. An elderly man turns to Polina for help: his son has been accused of murdering two young women. The unhappy father asks her to find the real maniac, who acted with particular cruelty.
