Lida and Kostya lead a modest life in the provinces and are preparing for their wedding, but right before the ceremony, the bride learns that the groom has run off with his mistress, Alla. Unable to bear the mockery of those around her, the young woman leaves for Moscow, where things do not go as smoothly as she had hoped.
Everything changes when she meets Sergey, an entrepreneur trying to promote his product. He, too, has been through a painful breakup and does not want to get hurt again, but touched by the girl’s kindness, he asks her out on a date. Their romantic dinner at a restaurant is suddenly interrupted by the appearance of Alla and Kostya, causing a scandal. The situation worsens when Alla is found dead the next day and Sergey is arrested as the main suspect. Now Lida must save not only Sergey’s business, but Sergey himself as well.
