Postwar Moscow. Alexei Mitrokhin arrives in the capital to see Battalion Commander Argunov, who saved his life at the front. Upon arrival, Alexei learns unexpected news: the battalion commander has been sentenced to 25 years and sent to a camp. To save him, Mitrokhin gets himself imprisoned in the Karelian camp “Lazo.” No one has ever managed to escape from there, but Mitrokhin knows the local terrain and devises an incredible and dangerous plan that will grant his friends freedom.
