The season begins with Oksana’s long-awaited childbirth, which Vasily, of course, is late for because he is in London. Pugovka goes to first grade, but school does not make her happy at all. Masha meets a fellow student, Venik, who later becomes Dasha’s tutor, as she continues to have problems at school. The real surprise, however, will be the appearance of their mother, who unexpectedly decides to return. Now she will have to try on the role of a parent, which she has completely grown unaccustomed to, and the girls have changed greatly during her absence.
