The four-episode war drama "SMERSH: A Legend for a Traitor" tells the story of the heroic feat of fearless Soviet intelligence officer Alexei Kravtsov, who is sent to Berlin at the height of the Great Patriotic War to expose the head of a secret German intelligence service. Finding himself in the heart of the Third Reich, Kravtsov makes a fatal mistake that threatens him with almost certain death. The intelligence officer’s only chance to survive and still accomplish his mission is an improvised cover story: that he is a SMERSH defector who has decided to cross over to the enemy’s side.
