Maxim Strogov returned from the front realizing that although the war had been won, it was only the first step toward the rebirth of his homeland. The previous appointees were dismissed, as they had failed to organize the work. Maxim himself lacks the proper education or necessary experience, but he possesses an excellent quality—he always sees everything he starts through to the end and finds a way out of the most complicated situations. He does not sit in his office or rely solely on reports—the responsible young man immediately goes to the spot, where he carries out his work. But will our hero be able to find words of support for the loggers, whose living conditions are simply terrible? How will the hero act in such difficult situations?
