The first season of the Russian detective mini-Series “The State Counsellor,” which can be watched online in our internet cinema with free access, starting from any of its four episodes, is an extended television version of the movie of the same name. The Series takes place at the end of the nineteenth century. In the ministerial carriage of a courier train, Khrappov, the former commander of the Separate Corps of Gendarmes and Governor-General of Siberia, who was traveling through Moscow to his post, is murdered. A security report states that Khrappov was killed by State Counsellor Erast Petrovich Fandorin, whose duties included ensuring the Governor-General’s safety during his stay in Moscow. However, upon arriving in Moscow, Khrappov’s escort becomes convinced that the murderer had merely impersonated the real Fandorin standing before them. Erast Petrovich himself immediately begins an investigation. Soon, Prince Pozharsky, the Vice Director of the Police Department, arrives from St. Petersburg to assist Fandorin. With his appearance, the story takes a most unexpected turn.
