The main character, Sofya Sorokina, works as a surgeon at one of the city’s medical institutions. She successfully balances her career and family life, but one day her life changes dramatically. Sofya has to accept a promotion, and then her mother-in-law is attacked by hooligans, resulting in the loss of a reliable household helper. The family is forced to hire an outsider as a housekeeper. Anna appears in their home and quickly earns the trust of all family members. However, Sofya soon discovers that Anna is not who she claims to be, and her appearance in the house is no coincidence.
