The events of the Series begin when the young beauty Marya becomes the chairwoman of a collective farm in a small taiga village. Due to her new appointment, Marya needs help, which is kindly provided by her old loyal friends. With their help, it is much easier for Marya to bear this heavy burden. However, problems soon begin. The Menshchikov brothers start doing everything they can to prevent Marya from carrying out her work.
