Veronika has grown accustomed to thinking of her life as prosperous: her loving husband Alexey, a cozy home, and her son Danya, for whom she once sacrificed a great deal. However, the past returns when her stepdaughter brings Yaroslav into the family. Veronika recognizes him as Danya’s father, and this encounter awakens long-forgotten feelings.
