The fourth season of the Series «According to the Laws of Wartime» takes place immediately after Victory Day. The main characters—Rokotov, Elagina, and Fedorenko—celebrate May 9 in a small town in East Prussia. However, peaceful times are still far away: at the height of the celebration, a square filled with Soviet soldiers comes under fire from a rooftop. At the same time, a mysterious murder of a German woman takes place in the town. The victim turns out to be the maid of Oberstleutnant Heinrich von Berg. The investigation is once again led by Ivan Rokotov and Svetlana Elagina, but they receive orders not to «dig» into von Berg.
