The events of the Series «Forgotten» unfold in 1949. Sergei Gastev, who once fought at the front and worked as an investigator, has now retired from the profession. He left detective work when his desire to restore order among corrupt officials nearly landed him in prison. Now, in a small town, he teaches Roman law. Sergei is also involved in a romance with Komsomol leader Lyudmila, but he carefully keeps their relationship secret. However, Sergei cannot get far away from his past. When a wave of daring crimes sweeps through the town, he is recruited to join an anti-gang unit, as he was a highly talented investigator in the past. His assistant becomes Ilya, a young rural police officer. While investigating one case, the heroes uncover another—a financial scam of fantastic proportions.
