The events of the seventh season of the cult Series "Gangster Petersburg" unfold many years after the conclusion of Andrei Obnorsky’s storyline. The situation in the city has changed dramatically: prominent criminal kingpins have successfully legalized their affairs, becoming respectable businessmen, although some have retained their old habits. A certain Maksimov approaches journalist Igor Nikiforov, Obnorsky’s longtime associate, as a representative of a wealthy foreign company interested in making a movie about the fates of the most prominent figures of the criminal underworld. After consulting his friend Nikita Kudasov, Nikiforov gets to work, unaware of the mysterious client’s true motives. As Nikiforov progresses with the creation of his movie, the number of victims begins to grow—specifically among the protagonists of the future film. Meanwhile, a major crime boss known as Sokhaty arrives in Petersburg from Krasnoyarsk, with the ambitious goal of ascending the criminal throne of the Northern Capital.
