At the center of the plot of the Series «Front» are events from the time of World War II. The leadership of the Soviet Union learns that the German concern «Auerge» is developing atomic weapons. A physicist named Katerina Shtur works for this concern; she was previously a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp. She does not yet understand how dangerous her research is and is very afraid of the Gestapo. Katerina dreams of escaping to a place where she will be safe. Vlad Volny, who was recruited by Soviet intelligence services, can make her dream come true. His task is to abduct an employee of the «Auerge» concern and deliver him to Moscow.
