The Series «Silence» is set in 1947. The main character is Alexander Ganin, who used to be a war correspondent. However, in peacetime he is unable to find his place in life. The protagonist moves to Vyborg, where he writes memoirs about the harrowing events he witnessed during the war. Circumstances unfold in such a way that Alexander sees the local criminal investigation department begin to take shape before his eyes.
