Anna is a successful doctor, the exemplary wife of Vladimir, the city’s best plastic surgeon, and the mother of two wonderful daughters. She gets a chance to become the deputy chief physician for surgery at the regional hospital. Anna is supported by the chief physician, but the staff greets the new department head with hostility. Everyone was sure that the spot would rightfully go to the ambitious Rodion Turaev.
Anna’s personal life is also falling apart: she learns of her husband’s infidelity after catching him with his mistress. Anna decides to get a divorce, but Vladimir is not going to let “his property” go so easily. He believes that his wife owes him everything and threatens to take away their younger daughter.
