Natalya Glazkova has just graduated from law school and immediately receives an invitation to join the city’s Investigative Committee. Her dream job comes with a catch: officially, the cases are assigned to her, but Major Medvedev—an experienced investigator suspended after a fight—is supposed to handle them. His superiors value him and devise a clever scheme to avoid losing a specialist. Natalya has no intention of being a figurehead employee, but she does not want to turn down this opportunity either. The young woman sets out to prove to her colleagues that she is capable of being a real investigator.
