The plot of the Series «Officers’ Wives» tells the difficult story of several generations of women from the Antonov-Terekhov family, as well as their close friends. In each generation, there is a heroine named Nadezhda. The Series covers events that took place from the 1940s through 2002. As the plot unfolds, important events in the country’s history are described: the repressions, World War II, the tragic events in Afghanistan, the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the efforts to eliminate the consequences of this disaster, the turbulent times of the early 1990s, and the collapse of the USSR.
