Alexey Kisanov is a private detective investigating rather petty, everyday crimes. His routine work lacks detective romance and adventurous adventure; everything is not like in the movies. One day, he comes across a complicated case that at first glance looks like a simple suicide, but the unfolding events make it clear that this is not so. The deceased doctor was a fairly well-known psychologist specializing in preventing euthanasia and treating people who have lost the meaning of life. The doctor’s psychological profile in no way suggests the possibility of suicide. The detective begins to delve deeper into the investigation, which gives rise to a series of other crimes targeting the victim’s inner circle.
