The Series tells the story of sisters Lesya and Sasha. They grew up in a poor but intellectual family. Sasha was always her parents’ pride. She is smart and beautiful. Lesya, on the other hand, did not shine with outstanding talents and was more interested in material values. But one day, tragedy strikes—their parents die. This tragedy becomes a turning point in their lives. Sasha leaves her eight-year-old son, whom she gave birth to out of wedlock, in her sister’s care, sells the apartment, and leaves for the United States to start a new life and find happiness there. Lesya marries a man whose family serves a certain influential Commander. Because of an incident, Lesya’s marriage falls apart, and she is left completely alone, with neither a home nor a job, and with a young nephew to care for.
