Nurse Marina is hurrying home to her husband and teenage daughter. On the way, she accidentally hits a woman and, in a panic, flees the accident spot. Later, it turns out that the victim was the wife of renowned doctor Gleb Zavadsky. There is a witness who testifies against Marina, and the woman is sentenced to six years in a penal colony. In prison, Marina holds on for her daughter’s sake and tries not to lose touch with her family, but her husband increasingly makes it clear that he is not ready to bear this burden.
