In the second season of the program «Superninja», the course was made more difficult: the qualifying round included a zipline, hanging ledges, hanging bamboo poles, «The Shaking Trail», «The Roundabout», and a vertical wall. In the final, the contestants faced 8 updated obstacles instead of seven. The lineup of hosts changed: Roman Postovalov from «Ural Pelmeni» joined Vasily Artemyev and Valeria Astapova, while Dmitry Maslennikov left the project. A total of 175 athletes from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Israel, and China competed for the title of superninja: Olympic skiing champion Nikita Kryukov, video blogger Lesha Yanger, 47-year-old coach Wong Ka On Jackie from China, and people from dozens of other professions—from a miner to a dentist. Thirty people reached the final, and two advanced to the superfinal.
