The fifth season of the detective-comedy Series "Deadly Force" is unique among the others due to the appearance in the Series of world cinema star Gérard Depardieu. Our beloved detectives Vasya Rogov and Igor Plakhov encounter the legendary French actor not somewhere in the provinces, but on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, where the Russian cops have been led by their pursuit of the notorious businessman Trotsky, who has serious international protection. In Paris, Rogov, Plakhov, and Lieutenant Colonel Yegorov, who has gone with them, can expect spectacular adventure and serious dangers, as they have to deal with a worthy opponent. The detectives encounter interesting cases on a cruise across Lake Ladoga, where Virigin sends them as a reward for their impeccable service. Rogov somehow manages to miss the ship and is forced to seek the help of a local monk.
