The first season of the Russian drama Series “Torgsin,” which can be watched online in our online cinema with free access, starting from any of the eight episodes, tells the story of a Soviet woman trying to learn more about her family. The Series is set in 1934. Torgsins are special stores that also function as pawnshops. Wealthy foreign citizens can purchase various luxury items there, while impoverished Soviet citizens can pawn family jewelry to earn money. Fate brings Lida Sokolskaya and her brother Alexei to one such Torgsin. Among their late father’s belongings, they find an ancient precious pendant and set out to uncover its history. To do this, Lida makes an agreement with the Torgsin’s director, Viktor Serebrov. Using his connections, he tries to find out as much information about the pendant as possible. In time, thanks to this pendant, Lida will learn more about her family, while Serebrov will help her find personal happiness.
