Nina is the kind of person who never turns away from someone else’s misfortune. Her volunteer center, «Sherwood», has become a home for those with nowhere else to go. Nina considers one of its residents, Filipp Tikhonov, her friend, so news of his murder leaves her unable to stand aside. She begins helping investigator Andrey Fedotov and soon discovers that the victim had been living under an assumed name and was clearly afraid of something. What was he hiding at «Sherwood», and who cut his life short? Nina and Andrey must unravel the tangled threads of someone else’s past.
