Tatyana Ivashchenko is a literature teacher and the daughter of a deceased investigator. Among her late father’s belongings, she comes across a strange murder story that reminds her of Leo Tolstoy’s novella “The Kreutzer Sonata.” The young woman tells the Investigative Committee officers about her discovery, but they attach no importance to her words.
