The owner of a private detective agency, Vera Berezhnaya, has solved many tangled and difficult cases and can outdo an experienced police investigator.
One day, she meets her neighbor Nastya, who is going through a difficult divorce. Her husband has connections and money, and uses them to play dirty in order to gain custody of their young son. Wanting to help her friend, Vera offers the services of her agency. But the family drama soon develops into a truly serious investigation when Filipp Perveyev is found murdered. Nastya’s mother, Elizaveta Petrovna, who runs an antique shop, also becomes entangled in the case. Recently, someone brought her an antique item, which the woman decides to sell, unaware that there is a real hunt for it.
