Vera Berezhnaya owns a private detective agency and takes on the most difficult cases. Her new client is wealthy businessman Pavel Volokhov. At first glance, his story seems trivial to Vera: the day before, he met a charming young woman, spent the evening and night with her, and in the morning discovered that she had disappeared. More intriguingly, he remembers absolutely nothing about the events of the previous evening.
Vera is in no hurry to begin the investigation until she learns about the murder of Volokhov’s former mistress, Lika. This death forces her to take a closer look at the details.
Now the detective must find out whether Volokhov himself is involved in this tangled case and what role the mysterious stranger plays in it all.
