The first season of the Russian detective mini-Series «Northern Lights: Mysteries of the Fiery Runes», which can be watched online in our internet cinema with free access, consists of two episodes and tells the story of a writer investigating the death of her sister. The events of this mini-Series begin when writer Agata Sever decides to leave the troubled Karelian island where she has lived for a long time. During her time on the island, she managed to investigate many complicated crimes, make new friends, enemies, and even find a sister, Lena. But circumstances force Agata to stay. Lena has died. Moreover, she is accused of stealing local artifacts. Agata does not believe her sister is guilty and begins her own investigation.
